4. MONTHLY TUITION. The Student/Parent shall pay by check or cash for the sum total of one month of lessons on or before the first lesson of that month. If payment is not received by the 8th day of the month, a late fee of $10.00 should be added. Checks should be made out to "Blanton School" and delivered by hand or snailed to:
Blanton School, Inc.
335 Ponderosa Drive
Athens, GA 30605

5. TERMINATION & SUSPENSION. The Student shall notify the Teacher no less than 28 days in advance before terminating Lessons. The Student may choose not to attend the Final Month of Lessons, but must pay for the final month nonetheless.

6. PROMPTNESS. Because students are scheduled in back-to-back blocks of time, it is very important that you be prepared to enter the lesson room on time so that we may use wisely the time you have reserved. As soon as you arrive, prepare for your lesson by gathering your books and other accessories and, if applicable, uncasing and tuning your instrument.

7. SIBLINGS. We want our home to be a relaxed environment conducive to learning, and we expect families to respectfully consider that this is also our home. Siblings are welcome but must be supervised at all times by their parent/guardian.

8. LIABILITY. We will not be responsible for a Student's actions and behavior while the Student is outside the Lesson Room. Our liability shall be limited only to the inside portion of the Property in which Lessons take place. Students and Siblings must be supervised by their Parent or Guardian at all times, and may not wander around parts of the Property that do not pertain to the Lessons, including, but not limited to: the front yard, the back yard, the side yards, the streets of Cedar Creek subdivision, and the upper floors of the House.

9. RESOURCES. The Student will be required to purchase learning materials. The Teacher will make every effort to suggest materials that are within the Student’s budget. Most materials can be obtained at one of the local music stores: Chick Music, Music Exchange, and Musician's Warehouse.

10. PRACTICE. Learning to enjoy an instrument is a long term commitment. Results will vary depending on the quality of practice and attention each student gives to truly spending time with the instrument. The fun times happen when you can play comfortably, and that happens as a result of good practice. If the Student is willing to have fun and be disciplined with his time, then Private Instruction will increase his skills rapidly.
